Konservasi Indonesia requires a qualified and motivated individual as Field Forestry Officer in Gunung Gede Halimun Salak Landscape (Gedepahala landscape) – West java, to implement various projects. The role of this position is to work and collaborate with relevant organizations such as Forest Management Units (KHP), Gunung Gede Pangarango National Park, Halimun Salak National Park, and Natural Resources Conservation Agency (BKSDA), Watershed Management Agency (BPDAS), and other relevant partners such as private and community in protecting key natural capital areas including conservation areas, watersheds, and other critical forest areas. He is responsible for providing support to local communities for the restoration of critical forest areas in West java through an agroforestry approach, and environmental education. Able to empower Forest Farmer Groups, through capacity building training of group members, strengthen management of Forest Farmer Groups, strengthen management plans of relevant government agencies to ensure forest sustainability in their areas. The position is also responsible for ensuring smooth implementation of activities in the field and maintaining good relations with local communities and partners.
This position will report to West Java Conservation Program Coordinator and based in Sukabumi (West Java) at KI’s field office. This position will work closely with other teams in the field office and KI staff in Sundaland region and Jakarta Office.
